On a Roll

Well at last I seem to be on a roll with getting cards done. getting a nice selection in my stock box now ready for the card party I am doing on Tuesday evening.
Today I am not getting on as well as yesterday, full of cold. The day didn't start to well. got a load of washing on and the spin cycle decided to give up,so now I got to get a new washer.It will have to wait till Monday now.so got the wet washing out and drove over to mother in laws to spin it. thank god she only leaves up the road.
will try and do abit more card making today as I don't plan much else. Tomorrow Andy and myself are going to London, to watch spurs play, cant wait soooooo looking forward to it, as we have never ever been.
not anything else to tell you..........ooohhh yes there is we have had 2 new arrivals within our families this week. On Tuesday My cousins partner gave birth to a baby boy, and on Thursday Andy Cousin gave birth to a baby girl.
Anyway here are three cards I made yesterday.

Ozzy loves his football

I just had to get the camera out tonight and video Ozzy. He loves to watch the football on the telly. Normally he comes and cuddles up beside Andy or myself and watches it. Buttonight he decided to stand in front of telly and watch, jump and bark. heres a little footage...........after 3/4 of an hour the bark started to get on our nerves......hope its not going to be like that every time we sit and watch footie.

Well I haven't done a challenge in a long time.
I decided it was about time , and after having a nose at someone elses blog and seeing this challenge, got me thinking and this is what I have come up with.

I've done it

Yes I have made some xmas cards...........Grand total of 2..........thank you to all those that gave me the kick I needed. lol I have also made a couple of birthday cards as well.


used the famous cuttlebug, then painted holy leaves with H2o's, layering onto green mirror card, coloured peel off green.........don't use many peel offs these day, but have so many Christmas ones.


Cuttlebugs been working again, after embossing this I coloured some of the dots Red, cut it into four pieces layering onto red card and then arranged onto a A5 white card, adding a bow down side and again colouring a Christmas peel off red. may just have to make a few more similar to this one.


Below are a couple of birthday cards I have made too. the husband card I used GCF as I needed this in a hurry.........no not for my hubby, a friends.



so there you go, now for something else.

12.25 am and I have just been hopping round looking at peoples blogs. I have seen some wonderful cards. And its made me think ............Pull ya finger out Bev.
I haven't made any cards yet and not even purchased one christmas present. someone please give me a kick up the backside.
I must make a note to join in with some challenges too, as I haven't done any for ages.
So note to myself GET SOME XMAS CARDS MADE BEV.

As soon as I get jobs done I will get on , I must or I will be panicking.
No I am panicking already.
so now I am going to go to bed.
there will be some cards on here next week, if not someone tell me off.

Mother in law asked me to make a wedding card needed for the 8th. it had to be black , red n white as that is the colour theme.
So I used the swiss dots folder and my celebrations board by the glitters girls.

Been Playing

I haven't done any blogging in a while now and thought it was time to give it a new look. wondering how people got different designs. So I spoke to a dear friend and she told me what I had to do.

I have been busy making cards for 60th birthdays, the person recieving these cards are my mother in law and her twin sister.

This card is for my hubbys aunt from us,

this one for hubbys mum from us

this is for mother in law to give to twin sister

this for from twin sister to mother in law

and finally I made this one for father in law to give to mother law. used greeting card factory to make this one.I decoupaged the rose heads and added some stickles to give alittle sparkle.


that is now all 60th cards made, next are cards for hubbys 40th birthday.

sorry not blogging much

I am not doing a good job at the moment with my blog. I am still upside down here. My kitchen still isn't finished and it will be 4 weeks on wednesday. Its driving us all mad now. its just been problem after problem. just pleased it isn't us paying for it.
I am missing making cards something rotten. I can see they are getting there and its just silly things that need sorting. we are also battling with the company to replace our flooring which they should have protected, now they are saying that there was marks in it before the started. yes there was 2 small ones that you wouldn't no were there unless we pointed them out. now there are big marks. so the fight will continue, even if we have to go to the papers about them.
so until I get my kitchen back and the rest of my house cleaned and straight again, I will have no new cards to show off.Hopefully not to long.

Sarah Kay week 10 sketch challenge

working in a small area and only having limited bits, due to workmen here.
This is what I have come up with for this weeks challenge.



I only have 3 stamps at the mo........Rose's Garden being one of my fav's.
I used papers from DCWV Floral prints, pearlescent green paper from my scraps box.
Punched out the flowers and added half pearls for centers.

Wot no Kitchen

over the next couple of weeks we will be living without a kitchen. well our lounge has become our lounge/kitchen/craft room.
we are having everything done. Last 2 days I have spent clearing it and finding a home for different bits.
Today the work started. here is what my kitchen looks like at the mo.....




electie man in tomorrow, and then new ceiling on friday.
so will be dab hand at cooking in the microwave. but as most of you know spuds cooked in microwave are yuk.
I am hoping if I am lucky to get some cards made at some point.........but that could be doubtful.

Good Morning

Good Morning all. Think We should all go back to bed. It's wet out.
But on another note , back to school for Hayley. where have those six weeks holidays gone. but before we know it they will be on half term again.
Hayley is going into year ten. so she is now starting her GCSE's. She has decided to do
GCSE P.E, Graphics, Cooking , and the last is YAS(Youth award Scheme)
Also the normal ENglish,Maths,Science and P.E.
She was telling me last night she will have 6 hrs a week of PE. She is really looking forward to that. Before I know it my little girl will be left school.
Its hard to believe that Simon has been left for over year now,He is loving his job as a landscape gardener. apart from when its raining.
Well looks Like I have a day to myself, Hayley just left for school, Simon is about to go to work(how long he will be out god knows with this rain) and Andy is going off to Play golf(rather him than me). So I am going to get some H******** done, catch up with a friend for coffee. And then if i'm not out at hers to many hours(I say hours as we haven't had a catch for a while ) believe it or not she lives in the same street.So anyway if I have time I plan to do some card making.I have the cuttlebug Xmas tree folder I want to play with.
Well I think I have been going on long enough. I hope everyone has a great day whatever you are doing. Cazz if you read this I hope you dont get to wet out on ya bike today hun.

Sarah Kay *Week 9* Purple & Green

This weeks sarah Kay challenge was to use the colours Purple & Green.
I am most disappointed with this picture of my card,the photo does not do it justice.And I feel this is one of my best cards yet made with the sarah kay stamp.
I dont know why but when I took a photo of this card, the purple has come out more of a blue colour.the top backing paper is as purple as the flowers in the bottom backing. and the background on the backing in the bottom is a lighter purple but looks more of a cream colour in the picture.
Think the photo may have spoilt this challenge for me cos of the colours.



All papers used are from my scrap draw. I am trying to be good and use up scraps etc before I treat myself to anything new.
